Character Information
Charles Xavier is a mutant with a very large future and destiny to live up to. As a young boy, he found out that he had an enormous and challenging gift to read minds and share in emotions of the people he could hear the thoughts of. This was sometimes a tormenting gift but it also gave him insight into humanity and made him believe in their natural goodness. He was highly educated and focused on genetics, fascinated by the idea of mutants like him and his sister Raven. Eventually he was persuaded to create a team of mutants by the US government and while that went very, very poorly due to a schism between him and his mutant adversary Erik Lehnsherr, Charles went on to create a mutant school in his mansion home.
Eventually, Charles becomes a beacon of hope and a believer in goodness and nobility. He is beloved by all of his students both young and older and he brings positivity to their powers and the training of them. With patience and kindness, he soothed even the darkest of souls, and made them believe in the goal, which was mutant and humans co-existing peacefully in the future.
That is the Charles Xavier people will eventually know and love. However where he is currently, Charles has been through a great deal of pain and trauma. After being paralyzed and losing his sister and best friend, he tried to start the school, but all of his students were killed or called away. In his grief, Charles began to get tormented by the thoughts and feelings of people all around him, and it led him to get desperate. When Hank came up with a serum to give him his legs and take away his powers, Charles eagerly accepted it, although it didn't change the deep pain in his heart. Through the appearance of Logan from the future, Charles reconciled with his sister and stopped her from making a horrible mistake, and in doing so saved the future.
He is on the path to becoming the Charles that other people know, having met him himself at his lowest point, but he is not there yet. Charles at heart is a hopeful and curious person, he genuinely finds people interesting and engaging. He is a bright individual and holds a certain warm quality that draws people in. While he is currently suffering with depression and withdrawal, he is starting to believe in a better path and that he is capable of following it for the sake of others.

Appearance & Personality
Charles has dark brown hair which is long and stringy to his chin. He currently has a beard and he has the look of being slightly unkempt. His eyes are a vivid blue. His height is 5'7 and he has a slim frame, on the scrawny side. He has a warm and inviting smile and his blue eyes can go from cold and angry to curious and light. Charles is paralyzed and needs a wheelchair to get around. He has a crisp British accent.
Charles at his base level is a warm, humorous, and kind person. He is even-tempered and easy-going, and too tolerant in many ways. He is forgiving and willing to give people an infinite amount of chances to do better. He is someone you want in your corner as when he is at his best, Charles is very supportive and makes people feel special and seen. That being said, he is prone to arrogance and the certainty that he is right about everything. He is very focused on everything he does having a good reason, even if that reason led to harm (see: Jean Grey). He can be very condescending and privileged. His bitterness at this particular canonpoint can make him sarcastic and emotionally unstable, snippy at times, and less patient than when he's in a good place.

Skills & Abilities
Charles is one of the most powerful telepaths in his world and has a variety of psionic power abilities. The most obvious is that he can read people's minds very easily and not always intentionally. It's somewhat of a curse since he has trouble sleeping with too many minds out there in the world constantly speaking to him. He can read minds from towns away and passively with anyone around him, although he has worked on shields to protect his loved ones from his accidental snooping.
Charles can alter a person's mind and awareness, he can make them think they're seeing a friend or an enemy or anything else in front of their eyes. He could convince an entire platoon to turn against each other in seconds. He can freeze people where they stand and not allow them to move a muscle, gaining control over their bodies. He can wipe people's memories entirely and implant his own. He can go to the astral plane.
Charles can make himself invisible to people by altering their mind. He can put people to sleep/knock them out. He can create mental links with his closest companions so they can communicate swiftly with each other over long distances. He can create mental illusions. He can put mental shields up in other people's minds like he did with Jean Grey. He can resist psychic attacks against himself and protect his loved ones from other mindreaders.
In X-2, Charles was able to hurt and nearly kill all the mutants reached out to through Cerebro through sheer mind control and power. This was amplified through Cerebro, but he can conceivably do that at a smaller level any time he wants, and wipe out smaller numbers around him.
Outside of powers, Charles is a genius-level intellect, he can speak almost any language, he's a master geneticist and a scientist (up to 1970s), and a skilled leader of teams. He is a gifted teacher which he cares a great deal about.
